Article (1): The faculty consists of the following branches of study:
- Fundamentals of Religion (Usul-eddin)
- Islamic Sharia
- Arabic Language
- Sharia and Law (Now at Women’s Branch in Cairo)
- Journalism and Mass Communication (Now at Women’s Branch in Cairo)
Article (2) These branches comprise the following departments of study:
First: The Branch of the Fundamentals of Religion (Usul-eddin) comprises:
- Department of Interpretation and Qur'an Sciences
- Department of Hadith (The Prophet's traditions) and its Sciences
- Department of Creed and Philosophy
Second: The Branch of Islamic Sharia comprises:
- Department of Jurisprudence
- Department of the Fundamentals of Jurisprudence
- Department of Comparative Jurisprudence
Third: The Branch of Arabic Language comprises:
- Department of Linguistics
- Department of Literature and Criticism
- Department of Rhetoric and Criticism
- Department of the Fundamentals of Arabic Language
Fourth: The Branch of Sharia and Law comprises:
- Department of Public Law
- Department of Private Law
Fifth: The Branch of Journalism and Mass Communication comprises:
- Department of Journalism and Publication
- Department of Radio and Television
- Department of Public Relations and Publicity
Article (3) The specializations of departments of study:
First: The Branch of the Fundamentals of Religion:
1- Department of Interpretation and Qur'an Sciences teaches the following subjects: (Interpretation and Qur'an Sciences – Interpreters' Approaches – Alien Interpretation).
- Department of Hadith (The Prophet's traditions) and its Sciences teaches the following subjects: (Hadith' Idioms – Narrators' Science – exegesis – Analytic biography in the Qur'an and the Prophet's Traditions – Approaches of Transmitters (of Hadith)).
- Department of Creed and Philosophy teaches the following subjects: (Theology – Logic – Philosophy – Sufism – Ethics – Sects and Creeds – Contemporary Intellectual Trends).
Second: The Branch of Islamic Sharia:
1- Department of the Fundamentals of Jurisprudence teaches the following subjects: (The Fundamentals of Jurisprudence – The Effect of the Rules of Jurisprudence on the Jurisprudents' disagreement – The Aims of Legislation – History of Jurisprudence and an Analytic Study of one of the distinguished Jurisprudents).
2- Department of Comparative Jurisprudence teaches the following subjects: (Jurisprudence of the Qur'an - Jurisprudence of the Prophet's Traditions – Comparative Jurisprudence – History of Legislation – General Theories of Dealings in Islamic Jurisprudence).
3- Department of Jurisprudence teaches the following subjects: (Jurisprudence – Private Affairs of Muslims and others – General Rules of Jurisprudence – Analytic Study of the Schools of Jurisprudence – Bequests and Inheritance).
Third: The Branch of Arabic Language:
1- Department of Linguistics teaches the following subjects: (Grammar – etymology – Prosody and Rhyming – Linguistic Research – An Introduction to Grammar and its Fundamental Rules).
2- Department of Rhetoric and Criticism teaches the following subjects: (The Sciences of Rhetoric: Semantics, Rhetoric, Figures of Speech – Criticism – Rhetoric Research – The Beginning of Rhetoric).
3- Department of Literature and Criticism teaches the following subjects: (History of Arabic Literature and Literary Texts – Literary Criticism – Essay – Islamic Literature – Comparative Literature – Literary Research – The Rhythms and Rhymes of Poetry).
4- Department of the Fundamentals of Arabic Language teaches the following subjects: (Linguistic Jurisprudence – Qur’anic Recitation and Phonetics – Arabic Dialects and Readings – Research in Philology – General Linguistics – Language Dictionaries).
Fourth: The Branch of Journalism and Mass Communication (Now at Women’s Branch in Cairo):
(Department of Journalism and Publication – Department of Radio and Television – Department of Public Relations and Publicity) They teach the following subjects: (Journalistic and Broadcasting Editing – Journalistic Translation – History of Islamic Communication and its Role in Societies – Journalistic and Broadcasting Laboratories and Trainings – Arts of Journalism and Broadcasting (Shooting, Directing, Engineering, Preparing, Presenting, etc) – The Art of Magazines and Specialized Journals – The Art of Manuscripts – Journalistic and Broadcasting Direction.
Fifth: The Branch of Sharia and Law:
- Department of Public Law teaches the following subjects: (Constitutional Regulations – Criminolgy – International Organizations – Public International Law – Administrative Law – Administrative Justice – Criminal Law (Public and Private) – Public Finance and Tax Legislation – Criminal Procedures).
